A reason to design:

The past few years I’ve worked in the apparel industry. I’ve found it harder and harder to find personal reasons to design. Not all artists can agree but for most of us, working in a professional field can drain you of creative energy in your own personal work. This I can say, has been a problem for me in the past two years. But I’ve decided to take this negative energy and make it positive. This is what we can call the birth of Recall Magazine.

I need to fully ingulf myself in art. Keep it around me at all times. And this magazine should be no exeption. In fact, im on the F train writing right now, as you read, listening to Kid Cudi’s new album for the
very first time. Ill make sure to let you know how good…or bad…it was. (Not good!)

So with no topics at all to write about…I’ve started with the reason for the magazine and what it means to me. I’ll be treating this as a “freewriting” english class. Now lets take it from here and see where we end up as far as a magazine goes. I’ll be aiming for an art culture theme…and naturaly it might be…but it can also become a personal diary. Either way, its good for me.
