Section 8 Comics and UKRE8.THEVSPROJECT are joining forces for to bring you an all-new Creative Competition.The Battle for “The Mark!”

Who is “The Mark!”
He is the greatest superhero the world has ever seen, just ask him. The Mark! Is a comic book created by Section 8 Comic’s Jason Antolik and JP Cheatham and is being developed by artists such as Christian Montalvo & Erik Williams.

The Battle for The Mark! is a Live competition were artist will duke it out creatively and the winner will be commissioned to do the cover for the first issue of The Mark!

How is this different from the previous VS LIVE Events?
This one has a Prize!! for the Top 3 artists!

- Upon acceptance you will receive an email stating requirement and guidelines.
- Final judging will be by Section 8, UKRE8 and any special guest judges.

Another success! The 2nd VS Live event was an epic competition between 4 very talented artist with very different styles! Nikki, Paigey, Emilio & Khary ALL battled valiantly, but only one will become the victor.

The theme was New York City and the audience made then include a taxi in their piece (something they weren’t expecting). Photo from the event are sure to come and the Official video of the event will be post as soon as we can…

There was a winner from the event, but your vote can still determine the out come!

Hello All our Creatives, Friends & Fans!

Its that time again, The Ukre8 Community brings you the next installment of The VS Project LIVE!

Saturday May 8th @ LOCAL 269, NYC

In January we had 2 artists compete in a Japanese Art style.

This time we are mixing it up! We will have four artists in this creative challenge & We are using a bracket system to determine this events’ champion! The audience will be more involved and help with deciding the direction of our theme.

Art, Friends, Fans & Creativity!

Even though we are featuring 4 artists, that doesn’t mean you can’t bring your sketch book and show off you skills too! Please pass this info around.
This event is open to everyone. Can’t wait to see you there!

1st VS LIVE

This is a recap of the 1st ever ukre8 VS Battle between 2 great artist: J.Smalls aka Grin & D. Douglass aka Gorilla. Both of these members of the VS Project go up against each other in an old fashioned Japanese Art Battle to create the best Oni/Samurai piece of art. It started as friendly beef over some art, but escalated into a creative challenge.

The Battle was hosted at The Local 269 in the Lower East Side of NYC.
It was a 3 round fight! Each round was 40 min to draw with 20 min intermissions.

This live creative fight allowed other artists, supporters & friends to see how these artist work, experience true raw art talent and have fun while being a part of it.
