Saturday night was the 3rd Annual Cut & Paste design competition!! It is a place were the design community get together to see how creative you can be in just 15 minutes.

They also had an audience design competition..

it allowed the audience to participate in the event. the concept was kool and you had the opportunity to use the new 21″ Wacom Cintiq tablet where you can actually the screen as the tablet. I participated in the contest, but had to deal with an over bearing pain-in-the-ass rep from wacom…. the rules allowed you to use either the mouse or the tablet and she INSISTED on using the tablet… it is really hard when you haven’t used a tablet. She was a bitch and hurt a relationship between designers and Wacom.

But besides the slight inconvenience, Cut & Paste was a great way to see other designers in action. it allows us to see how other creatives work under pressure…. and i can wait to see how the other design competitions around the country and world start to create.
